Description

Location: remote within Spain, Portugal, or India

Reports to: Director - Enterprise Solutions, Cloud & Service

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the enterprise architecture for the Modern Workplace domain, including endpoint management, collaboration platforms and identity/access integration

  • Define and drive the roadmap for Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Windows 11 (Enterprise/LTSC/IoT LTSC) Apple Business Manager, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Soti MDM and related client technologies

  • Define the architecture and rollout strategy for AI-powered workplace tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot Cowork, Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365) including licensing, data governance and security considerations

  • Define and monitor Digital Employee Experience (DEX) strategy

  • Ensure outsourced services align with enterprise architecture standards

  • Establish architecture standards, reference designs and governance guidelines for device management, application deployment (e.g. Autopilot) and Zero Trust/Conditional Access policies

  • Establish governance guidelines for responsible AI use within the Modern Workplace domain, in coordination with security and compliance stakeholders

  • Evaluate and select new tools and technologies to improve employee experience, security posture and operational efficiency

  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in endpoint and device management (e.g. AI-assisted troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection) and assess their fit for the organization

  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure and service management teams to ensure alignment across the broader IT architecture

  • Support and guide technical teams during implementation, acting as a design authority and escalation point for architectural decisions

  • Create and maintain architecture documentation (solution designs, technical standards, decision records)

  • Assess the impact of new Microsoft/vendor releases and features on the existing landscape and recommend adoption strategies

  • Support license optimization and workplace technology cost management

  • Act as a stakeholder-facing advisor, translating business requirements into technical architecture decisions

  • Advise stakeholders on how AI-driven features can improve employee productivity and self-service capabilities

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in IT architecture or senior engineering roles focused on end-user computing / Modern Workplace technologies

  • Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager and Windows 11 client management

  • Successful delivery of workplace roadmap initiatives

  • Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts (Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust principles)

  • Experience with device lifecycle management (Autopilot, provisioning, patch management)

  • Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) from an architectural perspective

  • Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with VDI and Digital Workspace platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VMware Horizon)

  • Exposure to mobile device management (MDM/UEM) for non-Windows platforms (iOS android, macOS)

  • Background in ITIL-based service management environments

  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with complex compliance requirements

  • Fluent in English (business level)
