Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Attendant in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and supporting visitors, staff, and patients. You will monitor access activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Control access to facilities and restricted areas by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and vendor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry points, access-control systems, and visitor activity; maintain accurate logs and promptly report unusual activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
