Job Description

The Senior Portfolio Administrator, Equipment Finance is responsible for reviewing loan documentation to ensure accuracy and accordance with loan approval requirements, as well as monitoring and maintaining those requirements and clients' needs throughout the life of the relationship. This position will assist in facilitating loan closings in conjunction with and on behalf of the line of business professionals, jointly call on clients to stay apprised of business activity/performance, and serve as an additional point of contact. This position will also assist in the establishment of new initiatives and directives from a processes and procedures standpoint by coordinating and communicating with internal or external teams as appropriate, and maintaining those initiatives once in place.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate loan closings in conjunction with originators

  • Ensure all loan approval conditions have been met within required time frame

  • Perform a pre- and post-closing review of loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Create borrowers and relationships in Abrigo and Moody's

  • Ensure accuracy of all data fields

  • Review and evaluate borrower financial information

  • Identify and escalate borrowers with declining financial performance

  • Ensure compliance with third party agencies and vendors

  • Act as a liaison with various departments including Commercial Loan Processing and Servicing Departments, Loan Review, Audit, and other departments as required

  • Comply with all corporate standards and audit-related matters in specific areas of responsibility

  • Remain current on all banking rules and regulations

  • Facilitate client service requests and provide exceptional client experience

  • Meet or exceed service level agreements

  • Provide recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Establish increased productivity and profitability

  • Proactively identify and escalate declining financial performance/negative indicators within the loan portfolio on a timely basis

  • Ensure timely collection of all required financial information and post to SyndTrak and applicable Northwest Bank’s system(s)

  • Act as the first line of defense to recommend and process timely risk rating changes in conjunction with the line of business and Credit Management

  • Monitor loan management tracking reports and ensure timely action and escalation as warranted

  • Maintain and update Equipment Finance reports on a timely basis

  • Initiate and/or complete loan modifications not requiring full underwriting

  • Manage and maintain collateral requirements

  • Coordinate and assist with criticized loan reports as part of the Watch List program

  • Establish tailored processes and procedures for Equipment Finance as warranted

  • Support line of business expansion efforts

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations

  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency

  • Work as part of a team

  • Work with on-site equipment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in corporate finance lending and/or credit administration/underwriting
