Job Summary
The Senior Freight Solutions Consultant is responsible for generating and growing sales through new customer acquisition and account expansion within a non-asset-based freight brokerage model. This role is heavily focused on providing managed and specialized solutions, creating long-term relationships based on selling value over price. Requires outbound prospecting, relationship development, and pipeline conversion, with success driven by the ability to earn customer trust and deliver tailored logistics solutions.
This individual will own the full sales cycle within defined go-to-market verticals. Explicitly defined as identifying target accounts all the way through closing. Partnering closely with operations to ensure service execution aligns with customer expectations.
What you will do
Identify, target, and pursue new customers within designated industry verticals and geographic markets
Generate qualified sales opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities to achieve margin and revenue goals.
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
Maintain accurate and timely customer, opportunity, and activity records in the CRM systems
Develop and execute account strategies to win and grow freight opportunities
Establish and maintain strong, long-term customers relationships as a trusted business partner.
Conduct regular customer to identify growth opportunities and ensure high levels of service satisfaction
Analyze supply chains needs and develop customized transportation and logistics solutions.
Collaborate with operations team to ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible and successfully implemented.
Serve as the voice of the customer by providing marketing intelligence, competitive insights, and providing feedback Contribute to sales strategy development by identifying emerging market trends and business opportunities.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED - Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Transportation, Marketing, or related field - Preferred.
Required Experience
2–5+ years of sales experience, preferably in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation
Proven track record of generating new business and meeting sales targets
Strong outbound prospecting and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
Motivated, self-starter that can proactively operate, independent of daily guidance
Preferred Experience
Experience in a non-asset-based brokerage environment
Established industry network or book of business
Knowledge of freight modes (FTL, LTL, specialized)
Understanding of supply chain operations and logistics solutions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position has an annualized market-based salary range:
Base Pay of $60,000 – $80,000 plus commissions, with target annual earnings of $150,000+ and Year 1 ramp support providedThe final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
