Job Summary
This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and competitive intelligence projects, encompassing primary and customer research. The role oversees the development and maintenance of organized databases, provides critical market intelligence, monitors industry trends, and conducts strategic customer, competitor, and market intelligence. Additionally, the role leads preparation of the project reports and presents insights and recommendations.
Responsibilities
Conducts end-to-end market research and competitive intelligence projects including primary and customer research.
Develops and leads maintenance of organized databases, infrastructure, and repositories of research data, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Provides market intelligence such as market size analysis and industry trends for products, services, and solutions to support marketing planning and development.
Monitors and develops reports on market trends and interprets industry reports to determine applicability for each business unit and solutions group.
Conducts high-quality strategic customer, competitor, and market intelligence projects to support decision making and strategic planning.
Leads tracking and monitoring of program metrics versus predetermined benchmarks and oversees consolidation of market research expenditure requests to determine ability to fund requests.
Oversees data collection efforts, both primary and secondary research, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Leads preparation and presents reports summarizing market and consumer research findings, insights, and recommendations.
Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Requirements
3+ years’ experience in consumer/market research and insights at a research firm or client-side in a related area such as entertainment, consumer technology, or media
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an area that offers value to this role such as psychology, economics, business, marketing, statistics, or other related fields
Well-versed in conducting custom research in a related area
Strong quantitative skills and analytical
Knowledgeable about gaming, competitive landscape, and peripherals
Adept at uncovering actionable insights and stories within the data
Self-starter and able to dive into projects, can perform research tasks yourself or utilizing internal resources
Experienced presenting and communicating insights to executives
Ability to tell a compelling story with data
Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint,
Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Discord
The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
