What is the opportunity?

Join the Capital Markets Finance team at Canada's largest company and internationally recognized leader in innovation and corporate responsibility. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced platform managing debt, equity, FX, and commodities trading, plus our Central Funding Group. As Manager, Wholesale Financial Control, you'll drive financial governance and controls across global markets while collaborating with trading desks, risk, operations, and IT. What will you do?

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes and template completions

  • Drive control and governance enhancement initiatives to streamline operations

  • Lead end-to-end flow analysis collaboratively across the CM Finance team

  • Coordinate balance sheet attestation and SOD package reviews with stakeholders

  • Improve efficiency of manual processes and identify better ways of working

  • Partner with trading desks, risk management, operations, IT, and Finance functions on financial reporting projects

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • CPA or equivalent designation with strong IFRS accounting knowledge and internal controls expertise

  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ownership mindset with sense of urgency

  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively at all organizational levels

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to Capital Markets businesses with understanding of complex financial instruments, securities, derivatives, and debt/equity issuances

  • Knowledge of RBC financial systems, EPM, and associated procedures

  • Minimum 3 years of Financial/management reporting experience in financial institutions
