IVVQ Manager
About the Role
IVVQ Manager contributes to Hitachi’s obligation to define, manage and carry out the test regime, including functional tests, FAT/I-FAT, SAT, commissioning evidence and support to System Integration Testing and Trial Runs. Its specific contribution is to lead IVVQ planning, manage requirements-to-evidence traceability, coordinate verification and validation activities, oversee integration and qualification evidence, support non-regression strategy, and ensure coherent evidence packages for reviews and acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
Define IVVQ strategy, verification matrix, validation approach, evidence hierarchy and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate IVVQ activities across Requirements, Engineering, Safety, RAM, Cybersecurity, Quality, Laboratories, T&C and WPLs.
Ensure test coverage, traceability, anomalies, deviations and evidence are controlled from design verification to system acceptance.
Lead IVVQ readiness and evidence reviews before customer submissions.
Report verification/validation progress, gaps, residual non-compliances and acceptance risks.
Apply the Hitachi Code of Conduct in role-specific decisions, including ethical escalation, anti-bribery discipline, confidentiality, data protection, fair supplier/customer conduct and transparent records.
Lead IVVQ planning, manage requirements-to-evidence traceability, coordinate verification and validation activities, oversee integration and qualification evidence, support non-regression strategy, and ensure coherent evidence packages for reviews and acceptance.
Owns IVVQ strategy, planning and execution coordination within supplier scope.
Can require closure of verification, validation, integration and qualification prerequisites before formal reviews, test gates or release to subsequent stages, and escalates unresolved evidence gaps or non-conformities.

Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Requirements Manager, T&C Manager and Laboratories Manager.
IVVQ Engineer, Test Engineer, Work Package Leaders, Safety, RAM, Cybersecurity and Quality teams.
Customer acceptance representatives and independent assessors where evidence is reviewed.
Configuration & Defect Manager.
Subsystem WPLs.
Design reviews.
Test/readiness reviews.
Qualification/acceptance evidence reviews.
Authority & Accountability
Accountable for IVVQ approach, traceability and acceptance-evidence integrity.
Authorised to reject weak evidence, require additional verification and escalate coverage gaps.
Recommends acceptance readiness but final submission follows Project Governance.
Mandate
Provide objective evidence that requirements have been verified and validated for safe, compliant acceptance.
Skills & Experience
IVVQ leadership experience in rail, safety-critical, complex systems or software-intensive Programmes.
Strong command of requirements traceability, verification methods, validation scenarios and evidence reviews.
Ability to coordinate engineering and test teams around acceptance logic.
Resilience and resistance to stress during verification gaps, customer reviews and commissioning defects.
Methodical, independent and evidence-driven mindset.
More than 7 years in IVVQ/V&V leadership on safety-critical, multi-supplier rail or infrastructure systems.
Strong knowledge of requirements traceability, CENELEC-based assurance, test Governance, defect management and qualification evidence.
