Account Assistant (Part-Time, Mid-Day Hours)

Role Overview

Looking for steady part-time work that fits around the rest of your life? SuretyBonds.com is hiring Account Assistants to work with our existing clients on their annual bond renewals. Your schedule is set, consistent, and always falls Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM. No nights, no weekends, and no cold calling.

What you will do

• Call existing clients ahead of their bond renewal date to let them know what is coming up.
• Walk clients through payment and financing options.
• Collect payment over the phone.
• Document each conversation while answering billing questions and communicate status within our process.
• Work from a prepared list of current clients.

What we're looking for

• Reliability. We obsess over service, so our team counts on our calls to clients.
• Consistency. We are looking for someone that can work a minimum of 15 hours up to 20 hours per week.
• Willingness to learn. No insurance or surety experience is required! Paid training is provided.  
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 2 years of customer service, sales, or office experience is preferred

Pay Transparency & Schedule

• $20/hour
• Monday – Friday, shifts scheduled between 9 AM to 5 PM
• 15-20 hours/week (No Wednesdays, No weekends)
• Onsite at our downtown Columbia MO office
• A set schedule that stays the same week to week

This position is a cash-sensitive position which means we take customer payment over the phone. It requires a criminal background check and a credit check before your start date, and a credit check annually thereafter. All checks are completed in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other applicable laws.
