Davidson is seeking a Jr. to Mid-Level Algorithms Software Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment with customer involvement.
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications on Linux
- Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex software issues
- Assist with design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of applications and tools
- Collaborate with system engineering and operations teams to improve performance and reliability
- Develop automation tools to enhance operations, monitoring, and deployment
- Participate in agile teams (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support evolving program needs
- Implement software engineering best practices including coding standards, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field with 5 years of cyber systems experience - OR - Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of cyber systems experience
- Must currently possess DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g. Security+ CE).
- Experience developing Java applications on Linux (experience with Algorithms / C2 preferred)
- Experience with one of the following source-control systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion.
- Experience working with systems engineers and/or integrators as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems.
Clearance:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance
