Position: Supplier Performance Agent
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Frequency: 40 hours per week
Job Description:
Lead visits to key supplier sites to identify performance issues and coordinate improvement plans, including purchase order alignment, process improvements, and quality system improvements.
Expedite critical parts from key suppliers, remove roadblocks, and prevent disruptions to the production line.
Work with suppliers to create and maintain a recovery plan back to purchase order (PO) requirements using aligned Lines of Balance (LOB), with daily follow-up.
Work with key internal stakeholders to define a clear supplier intervention plan, follow up on actions, and ensure a smooth handover.
Identify supplier improvement and risk mitigation opportunities and manage the related activities.
Lead the execution of supplier performance improvement plans and work with internal and external partners to find solutions and close action plans.
Partner closely with Procurement, Quality, and Operations to develop supplier improvement plans focused on quality, delivery, capacity, and process capability.
Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on supplier support and improvement activities.
Communicate effectively with internal and external teams and ensure issues are escalated appropriately.
Conduct thorough onsite reviews of supplier capacity and capabilities, identify gaps, and establish clear action plans to address them.
Manage your own business travel, including reservations, follow-up, expense claims, and financial reviews.
Job requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing and production.
Experience working with sub-tier suppliers.
Highly independent and comfortable working with new suppliers with limited information.
Experience planning and coordinating projects involving multiple departments or business areas.
Expert-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks at the same time.
Strong sense of ethics and a customer-focused mindset.
Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of operational and financial management is an asset.
Understanding of the business relationship and dynamics between suppliers and Bombardier.
Strong communication skills and good knowledge of BA systems.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
