Lead Maintenance Supervisor 1st Shift

Description

Purpose: Responsibility of running day-to-day maintenance for the plant. This includes assigning work orders to maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with documented procedures, driving continuous improvement and professional development of the maintenance staff.  

Essential Duties:

• Schedules and reviews preventative maintenance checks and keeps   related records.
• SAP maintenance management
• Reviews all spare parts and shop supplies to ensure proper stock   levels.
• Trains, directs, develops, supervises, and evaluates maintenance   team.
• Responsible for installation and maintenance of equipment, tooling,   facilities, etc.
• Aids in troubleshooting problems with machinery and equipment.
• Oversees work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
• Ensures departmental compliance with company policies, including   safety and environmental regulations.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and environmental standards. 
• Ensures compliance with ISO14001 and IATF standards.
• Keeps records, charts, and trends.
• Performs special assignments as delegated. 

Requirements

Education   / Skill / Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or 10+ years of professional experience could be considered in lieu of education. 
• Knowledge and experience with production equipment and general maintenance practices. 
• Must have good problem solving, analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills. 
• Supervisory experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

• A typical work week is 40 hours/week.
• Working hours for employees are flexible with a typical day starting 6am- 2:30pm M-F.
