Senior Development Engineer

Job Description

Role Description:

The R&D Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing product components (metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded parts), subgroups, and modules. This role involves driving global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions, developing innovative technical solutions, concepts, and innovations aimed at cost reduction and enhancing product experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design new parts according to the product specifications
• Focus on manufacturability and cost driven solutions
• Optimize existing product components, subgroups, and modules.
• Drive global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions.
• Develop and bring to life new technical solutions, concepts, and innovations.
• Release technical documentation on global mechanical components and subsystems within the PLM-System.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Able to create strong relationship with all functions in the organization, to enhance the delivery of global targets
• Ensure respect for cultural diversity and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.

Specific Tools and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of 3D design tools (Catia&NX as preferred)
• Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and assembly principles of materials like metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded
• Simulation competencies are appreciated.
• Strong aptitude for details.
• Use robust design tools (FMEA, Tolerance Chain Analysis, …)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent educational background.
• Good knowledge of home appliance products (or similar products)
• Track of experience in consumer goods product development, especially in a global-matrix organization and in international environment.
• Experience in hoods development is very appreciated.

Languages:

• English language proficiency is mandatory.
