POSITION SUMMARY:
Ready to work where the powder’s deep, the vibes are high, and the coffee’s always hot? Join the legendary crew at Arapahoe Basin as a Café Team Member and help fuel epic ski days with great food, friendly service, and a whole lot of mountain magic.
As a Café Team Member, you’re the smiling face behind our cozy café counters. You’ll serve up tasty eats, keep things clean and welcoming, and make sure every guest leaves with a full belly and a big grin.
Employee housing is available for this role. This position has an estimated start in December 2026.
WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Food and Beverage CTMs are eligible for a staging program that relates to applicable pay based on experience. See the staging requirements below.
Hourly pay range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist all guests in a timely and efficient manner with F&B purchases via the POS system and cash-handling skills
Help create a welcoming and fun environment for our Guests and Employees in a Café setting.
Maintain clean guest areas including cafés, dining rooms, and restrooms
Remove dirty dishes from dish/ trash stations to the dish pit and stocking clean utensils and cups for guest use
Set-up and tear down of cafes for Breakfast and/ or lunch service working as a team to complete daily and weekly cleaning checklist with other Café staff
Learn and share information about A-Basin to guide our guests to the best experience while they are in our dining establishments
Follow all department sustainability guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Food & Beverage experience - required
Previous cash handling experience - preferred
Ability to multitask and manage time well
Must be available weekends and holidays
Must adhere to A-Basin’s appearance and grooming standards for F&B staff
Must provide own non-slip shoes
This position requires successful completion of a background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times
Ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs throughout an 8+ hour shift
Ability to use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
You will work almost 100% of the time indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some outside work in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role. Riding a chairlift may be required for certain work locations.

Café Team Member Staging Program:
Café Team Members are eligible for a staging program, which relates to applicable pay based off of experience and performance.

Café Team Member I: Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
See requirements above
Café Team Member II: Pay Range: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
Fulfills all stage I responsibilities and requirements in addition to the following:
Assist in training Stage I Cafe Team Members on various tasks, such as operating the POS system
Lead other Café Team Members by setting a strong example of how work should be completed
May be required to work dinners at BML and at the 6th Alley
2 months of previous guest service experience
2 months of previous cash-handling experience
Complete “Train the Trainer” internal F&B training session
Successful demonstration of all additional Stage II responsibilities
Café Team Member III: Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.25 per hour
Fulfills all stage I-II responsibilities and requirements in addition to the following:
Be trained to perform the closing duties of the café such as cash drops
Use supervisor access in POS system to issue refunds, process comps, and help troubleshoot errors
Help train stage I and stage II Café Team Members
Cross-training in other F&B locations
3 months of previous guest service experience
3 months of previous cash-handling experience
TIPS certification
Complete “Empowerment Training” internal F&B training session, which includes: enforcing F&B Policy, leadership, and positive work environment
