About the role
Would you like to be part of an ambitious Compliance team where you play a key role in ensuring that Saxo meets its regulatory obligations within financial and non-financial risk areas?
If so, this may be the right opportunity for you at Saxo.
You will join the Prudential Oversight team within Group Compliance, Saxo's second line of defence function, based at our headquarters in Hellerup. Our team oversees compliance risks across a broad range of areas, including the financial risk areas of capital, market risk, liquidity and credit risk, as well as non-financial risk areas such as ICT, operational risk, model risk, data governance and strategy, supporting the business in meeting regulatory requirements, market standards and internal policies.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct compliance oversight and monitoring across the financial risk areas of capital, market risk, liquidity and credit risk as well as non-financial areas such as operational risk, model risk and strategic risks in relation to policies, procedures, segregation of duties, limits, calculations, samples, controls, etc.
However, if you are curious about the other areas covered by the team, we will help you develop your skills and knowledge within these areas.
As a team, we balance professionalism with a sense of humour and maintain an informal atmosphere where people enjoy coming to work.
Responsibilities
- Perform compliance risk assessments
- Provide advice and compliance opinions to the business on managing compliance risks and regulatory requirements
- Conduct compliance monitoring activities
- Contribute to regular compliance reporting to senior management of the bank
- Participate in developing the bank’s compliance framework
- Interact with the business across organisational levels and seniority
Your profile
We are looking for a colleague with experience from working with one or more prudential risk areas, who is motivated to develop deeper expertise in these areas.
Further we expect you to have:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience from the financial sector, preferably within compliance, risk management, audit, finance, credit or another relevant first-line function
- A relevant educational background within economics, finance, accounting, audit or similar
- Interest in prudential risk areas such as capital, liquidity, market risk, credit risk, model risk, strategic risk, operational risk areas, governance, and internal controls
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as CRR/CRD, Basel guidelines, EBA/ESMA guidelines, the Executive Order on Management and Control of Banks and other relevant Danish financial regulation is an advantage
Moreover, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, can work independently while taking an active role in teamwork and enjoys collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the entire organisation.
It is an advantage if you thrive in an environment with constant change, bring a positive and curious mindset to work, and do not buy into the word ‘cannot’.
You must possess strong stakeholder management skills and use your communication skills to ensure positive collaboration and progress in joint tasks. We are looking for a colleague who always brings a positive attitude when liaising with the business.
Please note! International applicants are encouraged to apply. To help us understand your circumstances, we kindly ask candidates currently based outside Denmark to include a brief summary of their relocation plans and expected timeframe for relocating to Denmark.
