RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain and interpret medical histories, conduct physical examinations, develop differential diagnoses, formulate treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and coordinate care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Patient Education. Provide education and counseling regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and expectations for ongoing pain management. Promote patient understanding and engagement in treatment decisions.
• Administrative Duties. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, complete required charting and orders, communicate effectively with referring providers, participate in care coordination activities, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

BS: Physician Assistant (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: 

PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - NYS Office of Professions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00Rochester14626

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
