Job Description Summary
The Senior Data Engineer is a vital technical leader within the Enterprise Data Privacy & Protection organization, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise solutions supporting data discovery, data cataloging, data curation, privacy compliance, data protection, and automation initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments.This role requires deep expertise in privacy engineering, data protection technologies, data protection platforms, cloud and database technologies, and engineering automation. The ideal candidate possesses advanced problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to lead technical initiatives that improve enterprise-wide data security, protection, and compliance.
The role is expected to leverage emerging AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies to improve operational efficiency, privacy engineering productivity, data security, and data protection automation capabilities.
Job Description
This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 3 days a week at the following office location: St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise data discovery, classification, cataloging, and data protection initiatives across on-premises and cloud-based platforms.
- Design, implement, and support data privacy and protection solutions, including data masking, tokenization, anonymization, and sensitive data management.
- Engineer, optimize, and support enterprise database platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, AWS, Azure, and other modern data technologies.
- Develop scalable data solutions that align with security, governance, compliance, and business objectives.
- Automate data management and operational processes through scripting, APIs, workflows, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while driving continuous improvement, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance data discovery, classification, documentation, and engineering productivity.
- Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk, Governance, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and data protection requirements are met.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise data privacy, protection, and governance technologies.
- Lead technical design discussions, mentor team members, and communicate complex solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, architecture documentation, and operational procedures to support enterprise data initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Security, or related technical field.
- Expert level experience with ANY ONE platform OneTrust, Informatica DPM, Informatica TDM, BigID, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Expert level experience Python, Java, PowerShell, SQL, or API development experience.
- Very good experience building automation solutions leveraging AI and Generative AI technologies.
- Good Experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity and privacy programs.
- Good familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native architectures.
- 8+ years of experience in Privacy Data Engineering, Data Security, Data Protection, and Data Protection related technology disciplines.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data privacy and data protection initiatives.
Preferred Certifications:
- IAPP CIPP, CIPT, CIPM
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate
- AWS Certified Data Engineer
- Snowflake Certification
- Informatica Professional Certifications
- Data protection or Privacy-related Certifications
