Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Maintenance Facility in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government transportation location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and employees. You will use computer or tablet systems to document security-related information, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a professional presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transportation facilities, platforms, public areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access during routine operations, special events, service disruptions, and emergency situations in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
