AI Adoption Specialist – Australia

About the role

We’re looking for an AI Adoption Specialist to help turn curiosity into practical change across Fulton Hogan. In this permanent, full-time role, ideally based in our Melbourne office, you’ll work with teams across the business to spot where AI can genuinely improve the way work gets done, then help embed new ways of working that stick.

This is a great role for someone in change, business improvement, adoption, or a similar business-facing role who likes variety, enjoys working with real people in real environments, and can build credibility with operational teams. One day you might be running a workshop, the next mapping a business process, coaching local champions, or helping a team move from idea to measurable impact. If you like project variety, visible outcomes, and plenty of room to grow, you’ll find that here.

You’ll also be joining our growing AI Practice at an exciting stage, helping shape how we use AI across the business and playing a real part in where we go next.

Key role responsibilities

• Partner with operational teams to identify where AI can improve processes and day-to-day work.
• Deliver workshops, training and drop-in support using approved AI tools and content.
• Map current processes, redesign better ways of working, and help teams embed change that lasts.
• Build and support local champion networks alongside digital leads to keep momentum going between visits.
• Shape and qualify new AI use cases, track what’s working, and share learnings across the wider business.

We’re looking for someone with

• Experience in change, adoption, business improvement, or a similar role where you’ve helped teams work differently, not just use a new tool.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the confidence to work with mixed audiences across the business.
• Practical, hands-on fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in where this space is heading.
• A proactive, curious and adaptable approach, with the ability to build trust quickly and work independently.
• A current driver’s licence and comfort with regular travel across the country.

Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.

If our values resonate with you, please submit an application for the position. If you’re not sure that you meet 100% of the selection criteria, that’s okay, we would still like to hear from you and potentially discuss how your skills could be utilised at Fulton Hogan.

For 90 years, Fulton Hogan has been delivering high-quality infrastructure to improve the lives of people every day. Our 10,000+ team works in every kind of weather and environment, creating, connecting, and caring for communities across Australia and New Zealand.
