This role sits at the intersection of visual craft, system thinking, and modern AI workflows.
What you’ll do at Above
Lead the creation of scalable, robust design systems for complex enterprise products.
Use AI tools to generate and maintain documentation, usage guidelines, and developer specs.
Work with AI-assisted handoff tools to ensure pixel-perfect alignment between Figma and production code, including automated checks for accessibility and brand consistency.
Use generative scripts to map legacy patterns to new tokens and components, accelerating system adoption.
What makes you a great fit
5+ years of experience building large-scale design systems.
A strong portfolio showcasing real, complex design systems (AI-assisted work is a plus).
Expert in Figma and curious about the new wave of AI design tools.
Strong system thinking — you know how to structure tokens and data so machines and humans understand them.
A sharp QA mindset: you use AI to explore, but trust your eye to curate and validate.
Comfortable explaining complex ideas to designers, developers, and stakeholders.
Mentor the team on how to use AI responsibly and creatively within design systems.
