At PepsiCo UK, we’re proud to make some of the nation’s favourite snacks and drinks—like Walkers, Quaker, Doritos, Pipers, and Monster Munch. With sites across the UK, including our Quaker mill in Cupar and Doritos factory in Coventry, we’re also home to one of the world’s largest crisp factories in Leicester.
As the Transport Contract Manager you will lead a multi-million-pound UK transport operation, managing strategic 3PL partnerships and driving service, cost and productivity performance across a nationwide logistics network.
This role provides contract management of core transport (XPO), POD (Proof of Delivery) and BIFG (Bought In Finished Goods) operations. This is a key role within the logistics function tasked with supporting service delivery, driving simplification and removing waste whilst managing cost through contractual reviews.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of PepsiCo's UK ambient transport operation through third-party logistics (3PL) partners, ensuring excellent service, safety, quality and cost performance.
- Drive operational decision-making and performance improvement across the logistics network, resolving issues and managing risks to customer deliveries.
- Own logistics budgets and financial performance, including invoice governance, cost control and identification of productivity opportunities.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with 3PL providers, leading contract reviews, governance meetings and ongoing performance management.
- Lead backhaul operations and transport optimisation initiatives to maximise efficiency, sustainability and revenue opportunities.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects and productivity savings across the transport operation while supporting wider supply chain objectives.
- Ensure robust operational controls, including Proof of Delivery (POD) management, reconciliation processes and performance reporting.
- Manage the inbound movement of Bought-In Finished Goods into the UK, ensuring product availability and seamless supply chain execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers, including contract management, commercial negotiations and supplier relationship development.
- Demonstrated success delivering operational results within a logistics, transport, supply chain or FMCG environment.
- Strong project and change management experience, with the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable business benefits.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience building effective relationships across operational, commercial and senior leadership teams.
- Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving capabilities, with experience managing budgets, evaluating business cases and making data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, from manufacturing and procurement through to warehousing, transportation and customer delivery.
- Knowledge of UK transport and fleet operations, including regulatory and compliance requirements, would be advantageous.
