Full-Time Housekeeper — New York, NY (Chelsea)Local candidates only!

A dynamic, creative couple based in Chelsea is seeking a hands-on, highly capable, proactive full-time Housekeeper for their New York home. This is a fast-paced household that values consistency and getting things right from the start, paired with a fun, creative energy that fits naturally with the family's vibe.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on housekeeping and household support experience, a genuine passion for keeping a home running smoothly, and a warm, easygoing personality. This is a household that entertains frequently, so comfort supporting events and working alongside outside vendors, including a Chef brought in for gatherings, is important. The most important qualities for this role are proactiveness, clear communication, and a genuine willingness to help wherever needed.

Schedule: 10am-6pm/7pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day cleaning, organization and upkeep of the home
• Provide deeper cleaning when the house is unoccupied
• Manage grocery shopping, household errands, and projects
• Provide light meal prep and cooking 
• Receive deliveries and manage household logistics and projects
• Break down boxes, organize recycling and trash, and keep the home tidy
• Support event hosting, including help with setup, service-side tasks, and coordinating alongside outside vendors like a private chef
• Troubleshoot minor household issues as they arise (e.g., a doorbell not working) and communicate with appropriate vendors and team members
• Communicate proactively via WhatsApp and shared notes/lists to keep the household running smoothly
• Work closely with the family's longtime team member, who supports with events, concierge needs, and household administration
• Provide general household support and proactive assistance wherever needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Housekeeper in private residences, high-end hotels or in a similar hands-on household support role
• Must be within a commutable distance of Chelsea; no out of area candidates
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• Must be willing to undergo an in-depth background check and provide excellent employment references 
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with active, hands-on work throughout the day
• Highly organized, reliable, and trustworthy
• Tech savvy and comfortable communicating via WhatsApp and shared digital tools
• Comfortable around dogs
• A warm, fun, and creative personality; genuine interests in music, art, or similar creative pursuits are a real plus
• Flexibility to travel if ever requested

Compensation and Benefits

• $50+ per hour | depending on experience
