Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Analyst

About the opportunity
Our client, an established heavy equipment manufacturer with facilities across North America, is seeking a CADM Analyst to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting Engineering, Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance. Reporting to the Senior CADM Analyst, you will keep engineering and product data accurate across systems and facilities, coordinate engineering change processes, and drive process improvements. This role suits a detail-driven person with a background in engineering, data management, ERP systems, and product documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign engineering support cases in Salesforce, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
• Generate and control part numbers and manage the associated data
• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and work orders in the ERP system, working with cross-functional teams to keep them accurate
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders to maintain BOM integrity and design compliance
• Investigate and resolve BOM discrepancies in part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and configurations
• Coordinate the timely processing and closure of engineering change requests and notices (ECR/ECN) across PDM, ERP, and CRM systems
• Coordinate releases and production drawing package changes
• Facilitate engineering coordination meetings, assign tasks, and follow through with task owners
• Support the setup, configuration, testing, and training of the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) system
• Generate and analyze KPI reports and dashboards
• Support product rationalization through BOM clean-up and waste reduction
• Analyze work processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Required skills

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Technical Sciences, or a Business Diploma or Information Management certification
• Ability to quickly learn engineering processes and tools, including PDM, ERP, engineering change, and CRM systems
• Understanding of how to create and update BOMs, including engineering masters, work orders, and quote masters
• Maintaining accurate BOM data across multiple manufacturing facilities and integrating it across ERP and PDM platforms
• Tracing and correcting part number errors using ERP systems and SolidWorks
• Strong attention to detail, with consistently accurate work on part numbers, revision levels, and BOM entries
• Setup, processes, and reporting in electronic document management systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques
• Experience working in an engineering environment or on multi-disciplinary projects
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at once
• Strong computer skills, including advanced MS Office
• Excellent English verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization

Assets

• 1 to 3 years of experience with one or more of: Infor Visual ERP, Epicor Kinetic, SolidWorks PDM, Salesforce, LiquidPlanner, Lucidchart
• Engineering, procurement, and manufacturing document control experience
• Data extraction from spreadsheets, including macros and VBA
• Implementing CADM processes in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of BOM structures, components, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of configuration and data management within an ISO 9001 certified quality system
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Membership in an Information Management association
