The key purpose of this role is to perform optimisation of process control systems. Supports the installations of process control systems. Maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimise brewing plant equipment and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.

  • Interpret process description specifications and conduct modifications/ optimizations of process control software as per specifications and software standards
  • Identify process control software deviations and resolve or recommend solutions
  • Support the process control software change management process
  • Maintain process control software integrity and security
  • Support the development of and upgrade preventative maintenance procedures for process control systems
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts
  • Maintain working knowledge of new technology instrumentation, software, etc., through reading and/or attending conferences, workshops or other training
  • Provide engineering/projects support and recommendations for new and existing equipment regarding installation, upgrades and enhancement
  • Troubleshoot E&F and Brewing process control systems when required

 

 

Operational Support

 

  • Provide specialist support to the shift based teams during operations
  • This will include standby and day shift support
  • Where requested, assist as a functional expert in problem solving in giving support to the operators
  • Where requested, provide guidance and advice to the shift-based team on mechanical & electrical equipment, mechanical & electrical fault finding and correct responses to failure modes
  • Where requested, provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation to shift based teams
  • Take part, as functional expert, in Regional and Central plant optimisation trials

 

Key Attributes and Competencies:


  • Proficient in Siemens PLC`s, RS Batch and Arcestra
  • Comprehensive Brewing and Utilities plant equipment and process knowledge of Brewing and E&F Plants

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Instrumentation minimum N4 technical Qualification preferably N6 or equivalent.
  • Trade Tested Instrumentation Artisan with 2 years’ experience
