Salary: Up to £20.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
- Provide a high standard of technical support in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines across inpatient, outpatient, and theatre areas.
- Support ward-based services such as stock top-ups, medicines reconciliation, and discharge preparation.
- Oversee the daily work of pharmacy technicians, assistants, and trainees, supporting task allocation and workflow management.
- Lead on stock control, ordering, and inventory systems to ensure continuous availability of medications.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and health & safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy, nursing, and medical teams to ensure smooth delivery of medicines and services.
- Maintain GPhC registration and complete all relevant CPD requirements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Significant experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medicines management, stock control, and technical pharmacy services.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.
