Description
Director of Mission Delivery
Hiring Range: $66,550 - $76,000
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has a fantastic opportunity available for a Director of Mission Delivery! The Director of Mission Delivery leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for supporting and executing high-priority initiatives across the Council. The Director determines where and how the Mission Delivery team can have the greatest impact, assigning staff to Council initiatives based on organizational priorities, seasonal demands, team capacity, and individual strengths.
As our Director of Mission Delivery, you will serve as the Council's primary resource and staffing partner for major initiatives, ensuring the right people are focused on the right work at the right time. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to understand upcoming needs, anticipate resource demands, establish staffing plans, and adjust assignments as priorities evolve.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead, coach, and develop a highly adaptable team capable of supporting initiatives across membership, girl experience, volunteer engagement, product programs, special events, and other Council priorities. You will build team capability through cross-training, coaching, performance management, and professional development while creating clear expectations for accountability, collaboration, and execution.
The Director of Mission Delivery will ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with established objectives. You will support project leaders by removing barriers, facilitating communication, proactively addressing resource challenges, and helping teams navigate competing priorities.
You will also use data to evaluate workload, capacity, staffing effectiveness, and project outcomes. Through dashboards, reporting, and ongoing analysis, you will identify opportunities to improve how Mission Delivery resources are deployed and make recommendations that strengthen Council-wide execution.
Who are we seeking?
- Someone with strong organizational, planning, and project-management skills who can successfully manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and workstreams simultaneously.
- A leader who can evaluate organizational needs, team capacity, staff strengths, and project demands to determine how resources should be deployed.
- Someone who can shift resources and priorities thoughtfully as organizational needs change while maintaining clarity, accountability, and momentum.
- A collaborative partner who can work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to understand needs, clarify expectations, and coordinate resources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data, metrics, and operational information to evaluate workload, capacity, staffing effectiveness, and project outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, including coaching, delegation, performance management, workload management, and professional development.
- Someone who can establish timelines, track deliverables, identify risks and barriers, and help ensure successful project execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and make timely decisions in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- A leader who builds collaboration across departments and is comfortable working beyond traditional functional lines to support broader Council priorities.
What else will you need?
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in people leadership, program operations, project management, workforce coordination, or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff, including coaching, performance management, workload management, and professional development.
What will you get?
- We are an energetic group that works really hard, but we also like to have lots of FUN! We're building future leaders of tomorrow, so we provide development opportunities that foster both professional and personal growth and an exceptional benefits package that includes paid holidays; a summer shut-down and a winter break!
