  1. Coordinate with design engineering teams to address manufacturability concerns and recommend design changes to improve machining efficiency.

  1. Partner with quality engineers to ensure machining processes meet quality standards and resolve any non-conformance issues.

  1. Process Optimization:

  1. Analyze machining workflows and identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce bottlenecks.

  1. Collaborate with other engineers to implement Lean Manufacturing principles across multiple processes.

  1. Share best practices and lessons learned with the broader engineering team to drive continuous improvement.

  1. Tooling and Equipment Coordination:

  1. Work with CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Engineers to validate tooling and gauging are available.

  1. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime for machining equipment.

  1. Provide input on equipment upgrades or new technology investments to improve machining capabilities.

  1. Project Collaboration:

  1. Participate in cross-functional project teams for new product introductions, process changes, and capacity expansions.

  1. Coordinate with MRP and Scheduling to ensure machining processes align with production schedules and material availability.

  1. Support project timelines by ensuring machining routings and processes are delivered on time and meet project requirements.

  1. Documentation and Communication:
