About the Team

The Equities Solutions team drives the adoption, liquidity growth, and commercial performance of HKEX’s equities and derivatives markets. As product specialists across Cash Equities, ETPs, Derivatives, and Structured Products, the team bridges client needs with HKEX’s product roadmap and works cross‑functionally to enhance the competitiveness and vibrancy of HKEX’s marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject‑matter expert across HKEX’s equities and derivatives product suite, including index futures, options, structured products, and delta‑one instruments.
• Develop actionable equity and derivatives trade ideas, thematic strategies, and structuring solutions to promote deeper usage of HKEX’s derivatives products.
• Drive commercial engagement with institutional investors, intermediaries, retail brokers, and other key market participants to grow volumes, open interest, and product adoption.
• Identify and analyse market opportunities, leveraging client insights and industry trends to shape product design, market‑structure enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead end‑to‑end go‑to‑market execution for new product launches and platform enhancements, partnering closely with Sales, Product, Technology, and Market Development teams.
• Represent HKEX externally at client meetings, briefings, workshops, and industry events to articulate HKEX’s value proposition, market structure, and product capabilities.
• Provide internal thought leadership through research, competitor benchmarking, and development of commercial strategy materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in equity strategy, equity derivatives structuring, derivatives strategy, QIS, or other relevant capital markets roles.
• Deep understanding of derivatives markets, including volatility dynamics, options pricing, risk premia, hedging strategies, and systematic strategy construction.
• Proven record of senior client engagement, commercial delivery, and cross‑functional project leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, and market storytelling skills; ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical solutions.
• Fluency in Mandarin, with excellent written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
