Lead Fulfillment Specialist- Amazon

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Fulfillment Specialist provides day-to-day operational leadership and coordination for fulfillment activities to ensure customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role serves as a subject matter expert for fulfillment processes, supports workflow execution, resolves operational issues, and provides training and guidance to team members. The Lead Fulfillment Specialist serves as a team leader without formal supervisory authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fulfillment activities, including work assignments, workflow, order priorities, and resource allocation.
• Monitor fulfillment activities to ensure service levels, productivity, and order execution expectations are achieved.
• Balance priorities across multiple fulfillment activities and adjust workflow based on changing operational needs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for fulfillment processes, shipping requirements, workflow coordination, and issue resolution.
• Identify and resolve escalated operational issues to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to fulfillment team members without formal supervisory authority.
• Lead the onboarding and training of new employees and provide ongoing training to existing team members.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance fulfillment processes, efficiency, and service performance.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for Customer Service, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, and Distribution leadership regarding daily fulfillment execution.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of end-to-end fulfillment operations, including order processing, shipping requirements, workflow coordination, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate daily workloads, balance resources, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex or escalated operational issues.
• Ability to train, coach, and provide day-to-day guidance to team members.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across departments and serve as a key operational resource for fulfillment activities.
• Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service performance.
