German Speaking Sustainability Climate Tech Consultant (Remote)

About the Role

We are an expanding Climate Tech company from Berlin that equips corporate ESG leaders with smart AI tools alongside high-touch human expertise to streamline complex operations, maintain CSRD compliance, and achieve ambitious net-zero milestones.

We are looking for a practical, results-oriented Sustainability Consultant (m/f/d) to join our growing advisory team. In this role, you will direct enterprise accounts through their decarbonization strategies, verify data outputs, and continually refine our consulting frameworks to accelerate our overall reach.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Ownership: Direct end-to-end consulting engagements for enterprise accounts covering Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF), Product Carbon Footprints (PCF), and Net-Zero roadmaps using our proprietary software engine.
• Data Processing & Validation: Transform client corporate datasets into precise CCF/PCF calculations while auditing AI-assisted outputs, such as Emission Factor matching and review.
• Process Optimization & Automation: Continuously assess, optimize, and rebuild existing consulting delivery methods alongside the advisory team to maximize operational scale.
• Customer Enablement & Success: Act as the main client point of contact, improve support channels and resource centers, and curate reusable knowledge assets for customer teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and present sharp, compelling presentations and technical case studies during executive-level client discussions.
• Product Development Collaboration: Bridge the gap between external client needs and internal tech teams by translating client feedback into functional platform improvements.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Must-Haves:

• Language Proficiency: C2-level native or fluent German is mandatory, as daily client interactions are conducted in German. Professional fluency in English (C1/C2) is required.
• Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sustainability advisory or an in-house ESG function, with a strong background in Corporate Carbon Footprints (CCF), PCF, or Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
• Hands-on Execution: Proven track record of personally calculating and building carbon footprint metrics (rather than pure project oversight or theoretical study).
• Adaptable & Driven: A strong "builder" attitude—eager to execute day-to-day operational work while building scalable delivery systems.
• Project & Communication Skills: Top-tier project management skills combined with a crisp, structured, and engaging presentation style.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Direct consulting experience serving mid-market or enterprise-level clients.
• Background in Climate Tech, Clean-Tech SaaS, or sustainability initiatives within food or retail sectors.
• Demonstrated experience creating customer enablement assets (e.g., help portals, knowledge hubs) or deploying process automation tools.
