- Demonstrated experience leading the development of a Design Basis Memorandum (or equivalent basis of design) for a large capital project through concept selection, DBM and into FEED
- Experience with project development and project management, including working knowledge of ADEM and D&MP processes and stage-gate decision making
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases and financial evaluations, including capital and operating cost estimates, schedule, economic inputs and sensitivity analysis, to support investment decisions
- Experience leading and coordinating internal and external stakeholders, including EPC contractors, to deliver successful project objectives
Don’t have all the qualifications listed? That’s ok! Apply anyway. We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the facilities and business case development for In Situ growth projects, including the Firebag expansion, Lewis and future In Situ growth opportunities

- Lead multi-functional groups in the planning, evaluation and recommendation of key decisions during concept selection, DBM and FEED, and bring decisions forward to Decision Review Boards
- Frame opportunities and develop the business case, integrating capital and operating cost, schedule, production and risk inputs into economic evaluations and investment recommendations
- Understand and translate key execution and technical risks to inform project decisions
- Oversee, guide and translate EPC contractor study work, and provide oversight on scope and deliverable development by external EPC contractors
