• Coach and inspire: Lead hands-on, in-store bakery training that builds skills, confidence, and consistency for store teams across your market.
• Be the trusted expert: Visit stores in your territory to support clients and customers, solve problems on the spot, and keep bakery programs running at their best.
• Build relationships: Partner with In-Store and Sales Operations teams to create strong, lasting working relationships.
• Share what you see: Prepare reports and give management clear feedback that shapes decisions.
• Stay flexible: Take on other duties and projects as needed.

What You Bring

Required

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of baking experience in areas such as donuts, dry mix, frozen dough, proof and bake, and/or cake decorating
• Advanced to master-level skill working with mixes and doughs
• Advanced cake decorating skills, with a flair for creating unique, on-trend designs
• Superior interpersonal and presentation skills; you can teach, and you can connect
• Creative problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills
• Strong time management, with the ability to prioritize effectively and communicate clearly by phone and email
• Travel to stores to train

Responsibilities

Position SummaryThe Bakery Specialist is responsible for providing client and customer bakery training and retail support and training in the assigned territory.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage client and customer support in assigned territory by conducting store visits
• Conduct in-store bakery training in assigned market area
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with In-Store and Sales Operations personnel
• Prepare reports and provide feedback to management as needed
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned

Indirect Reports- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the jobEducation Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience:1-3 Years of experience in baking experience in areas such as donuts, dry mix, frozen dough, proof and bake and/or cake decorating

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Advanced cake decorating skills with the ability to create unique and on trend cake designs
• Advanced to master baking skills with the ability to work with mix and doughs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word; proficiency in smart phone usage to include email
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently
• Ability to effectively communicate over the phone and through email
• Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships
• Creative problem solving and project management skills

Environmental & Physical Requirements

 

Field / Reps RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
