The role will coordinate the Group’s five-year Business Plan and annual planning processes, integrating country and cluster submissions into a coherent Group outlook aligned to strategic priorities and operational objectives. This is a challenging and rewarding role with high and direct exposure to the CEO and CFO, working closely with the group function heads and senior leaders across the organization. It requires impeccable communication, strong ownership, analytical rigour, and the ability to collaborate effectively all functions and regions, with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Group’s five-year Business Plan and annual planning processes, integrating country and cluster submissions into a coherent Group outlook that aligns strategic priorities with financial and operational objectives.
- Drive disciplined capital allocation across the organization, ensuring investments are prioritized based on financial return, strategic relevance, and alignment with long-term value creation.
- Oversee the Group’s investment evaluation framework, ensuring consistent methodologies, sound financial analysis, and transparent documentation for all major projects, business cases, and customer contracts.
- Manage the end-to-end investment process, from initial evaluation through approval and post-investment performance tracking, ensuring governance standards and lessons learned are continuously applied.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Global Business Lines / Commercial, by leading financial analysis of key global initiatives, developing financial models for major tenders, new market entries and delivering customer profitability assessments.
- Ensure Investment Committee governance is executed and documented (agendas, materials readiness, minutes, decisions, actions, follow-ups) with clear audit trail and accountability.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations, driving accountability and alignment across leadership teams.
- Develop, standardize, and continuously improve financial models, tools, and KPIs to support robust business case evaluation and forward-looking planning across the Group.
- Build financial capability across the organization through structured guidance, training, and engagement with regional and functional finance teams.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investment / Capital Allocation, Top-tier Management Consulting, Transaction Services / Valuation, or a dedicated financial modelling / commercial finance team - within a complex, multi-country environment is a strong plus.
- Solid foundation in corporate finance and valuation, including end-to-end financial modelling (DCF/NPV, scenario & sensitivity analysis), accounting literacy, strong analytical judgement and solid understanding of the Swissport business model.
- Proven track record delivering high-stakes decision support for senior leadership: translating complex financial and operational inputs into clear recommendations, options, and risks for governance forums (e.g., Investment Committee / ELT / Board materials).
- Hands-on experience with investment governance and approval processes, including business case standards, documentation discipline, workflow coordination (e.g., approval portals), and post-investment performance tracking / benefits realization (experience strongly preferred).
- Planning and consolidation capability: experience coordinating multi-entity planning cycles (annual plan / multi-year plan), integrating submissions into a coherent narrative with consistent assumptions and KPI logic.
- Commercial finance / contract valuation acumen: ability to assess profitability, pricing/margin drivers, incentive mechanics, and tender economics; capable of building robust customer profitability and bid models (experience preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills: credible sparring partner who can challenge constructively, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive follow-through without formal authority.
- Process and tool mindset: able to standardize and continuously improve models, templates, KPIs, and ways of working - balancing analytical depth with pragmatism and speed.
- Execution strength under ambiguity: structured problem solver who can manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain quality and governance rigor in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership behaviors: proactive ownership, high accountability, and the ability to coach/train others (country/cluster finance teams) to raise quality and consistency of outputs.
- Advanced Excel modelling skills (must-have) and strong PowerPoint capability for senior-level storytelling; familiarity with planning/BI tools and ERP/reporting environments is an advantage.
