Boning Hall Shift Manager

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

We are actively seeking applications for the role of Boning Hall Shift Manager to join an industry leader that provides opportunities for training and progression to the right candidates. You will be working in a production environment within a meat processing plant in one of Europe's leading food companies; suppliers of choice to a range of leading local, national and international supermarket, foodservice and manufacturing businesses exporting to over 50 countries worldwide.

Responsibilities

Working as part of our Production Management Team you will be accountable for the safe, efficient and commercially effective operation of the added value department, with specific responsibility for mince, diced and dry-aged meat products. The role ensures that production plans, customer specifications, food safety standards, quality requirements, labour controls and yield targets are consistently achieved while driving continuous improvement and developing a capable, engaged team.

Qualifications

• Proven production management experience within meat processing, food manufacturing or a similarly controlled environment.
• Demonstrable experience of managing people, production planning, labour, yield, waste and continuous improvement.
• Sound understanding of HACCP, traceability, hygiene, food safety, quality systems and customer specifications.
• Visible, accountable and safety-focused leadership.
• Strong organisation, planning and decision-making skills.
• Commercial awareness with close attention to yield, cost, quality and customer service.
• Data-led problem-solving with a practical, continuous-improvement mindset.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing operational priorities.
