Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer who will control the access to a gated condo community on Longboat Key. This is a high-profile environment, and the candidate should have excellent customer service and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Support a professional residential environment by communicating clearly with residents and management while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
