Power Cross Ministry is seeking passionate, motivated, and faith-driven individuals to serve as part-time Youth Basketball and Wrestling Coaches at our Statesville and Salisbury campuses.
Our mission is to build young men from generational poverty into spiritual leaders through Jesus Christ using daily discipleship and athletics.
We believe athletics provides an extraordinary platform to teach discipline, accountability, teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and faith.
We aren't simply looking for coaches who know how to win games. We're looking for leaders who want to help young men win in life.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor young men ages 7–14 in basketball or wrestling.
- Lead organized, age-appropriate practices emphasizing fundamentals, skill development, and athletic growth.
- Develop athletes' confidence, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Build meaningful relationships with participants, families, and fellow coaches.
- Reinforce Power Cross core values and participate in faith-based mentorship and discipleship.
- Maintain a safe, encouraging, structured, and positive environment.
- Collaborate with athletic leadership to support player development and program goals.
- Serve as a positive role model through personal character, consistency, and leadership.

- Experience playing or coaching basketball or wrestling.
- A genuine passion for mentoring and developing young men.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

- A commitment to teaching life lessons that extend beyond athletics.
Previous coaching experience is preferred, but candidates with strong athletic backgrounds and a passion for youth mentorship are encouraged to apply.

Locations: Statesville and Salisbury, NC
Employment: Part-Time
Compensation: Paid position; details discussed during the hiring process.
Schedule: Practices, training sessions, and competitions as assigned.
Requirements: Successful completion of applicable background checks and youth-safety training.
