Salary: $180,000 Base + Additional Investment Participation Opportunities

Our client is a globally recognized venture capital firm managing over $1B in assets under management and backing some of the most influential technology companies of the past decade. Their portfolio includes category-defining companies across artificial intelligence, infrastructure, robotics, life sciences, and frontier technologies.
The firm has invested in numerous unicorn companies and maintains deep relationships with founders, investors, Fortune 500 executives, and global industry leaders.
They are building a small, highly technical internal team responsible for improving the firm’s infrastructure, supporting investment decisions, and helping portfolio companies solve complex engineering challenges.
This role offers a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering, venture capital, and startup building, while developing relationships with some of the most ambitious founders and investors in the technology ecosystem.
What You Will Do
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build internal systems and tools that support the firm’s investment operations while also collaborating with founders and portfolio companies on technical challenges.
You will:

Build and maintain internal platforms such as sourcing tools, CRM systems, and portfolio management software

Develop internal tooling that improves deal sourcing, diligence workflows, and investor operations

Work closely with the investment team to evaluate technical founders and startup opportunities

Assist portfolio companies with technical problem-solving and engineering guidance

Contribute to building scalable internal systems using modern cloud infrastructure

Collaborate with partners and investors to translate operational needs into engineering solutions

Engage with founders and technical leaders across the startup ecosystem

Ideal Candidate Background
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial software engineer who enjoys building tools, solving real-world problems, and operating in fast-moving environments.
Candidates will typically have:

2–5 years of full-stack software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript

Experience building production systems across backend services and modern web applications

Experience working with cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)

Ability to own projects from concept through deployment

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently

Interest in startups, venture capital, and emerging technologies

The following experience would be beneficial but is not required:

Experience building internal tools, developer platforms, or CRM systems

Experience working at top-tier startups or well-known technology companies

Exposure to startup ecosystems, venture capital, or early-stage companies

Demonstrated side projects or technical work such as GitHub repositories, personal products, or open-source contributions
