Independent Review and Conference Officer (Child Protection Conference Chair) £40ph 0.6 FTE, 22.5hrs Location: Northampton and Kettering for physical meetings. Hybrid: most Review Conferences are held virtually. We hold most Initial Child Protection Conferences face to face - expect circa 2 days per week face to face meetings Independent oversight and quality assurance of child protection planning (including chairing of child protection conferences), ensuring that the child’s interests are promoted throughout. Monitoring the Trust’s performance with regard to child protection practice, identifying areas of poor practice and reporting deficits and recommending actions to senior managers, working with senior managers on remedial action where necessary.

 

Please confirm your candidate has 3 years Post Qualifying Experience and it is clearly indicated on their CV. The experience must have been in direct employment of an English local authority practising in a child and family context while registered as a social worker with a UK regulator. This can also include their assessed and supported year in employment (ASYE). CV's which do not meet the above criteria will be rejected.
