Community OutreachPosition Summary
Full-time positions at Clovis Community College are not remote positions and require a physical presence on campus to fulfill duties and college-related responsibilities.Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Health Sciences and Applied Technologies, the Director of Workforce Partnerships/Non-Credit Training works with local and regional employers, Workforce Solutions, and various internal and external agencies to organize, coordinate, and develop non-credit course offerings and business and industry trainings for the CCC service area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison between CCC, Workforce Solutions, and local and regional businesses regarding business and industry training to assess industry and business training needs; high-demand training options, and partnership opportunities.
Develop high-visibility networks in the community by attending business events and community meetings.
Develop and coordinate community service non-credit courses, which include needs assessment in the community, scheduling of courses and recruitment of teaching staff, coordinating all non-credit classes and business and industry services with appropriate CCC personnel.
Collaborate and work with the Business Office to develop, implement and improve registration and payable processes for all non-credit and business and industry training.
Develop and maintain business and industry and non-credit record keeping processes and systems.
Complete and maintain all local, regional, and state and federal compliance and reporting for non-credit training and business and industry activities.
Approve, track, and maintain records of non-credit online classes through Education to Go website.
Organize, develop, and coordinate services supporting the College’s efforts to meet workforce needs through customized training and public workshops.
Assist employers with selection and development of curriculum and evaluation of programs, courses, services, and trainings.
Develop, coordinate, and administer evaluation of all training to establish opportunities for continuous improvement in educational outcomes.
Coordinate with Communication and Marketing department in the development and execution of marketing and promotion of all business and industry and non-credit offerings.
Develop and coordinate Kids’ College to include recruiting and hiring of Kids’ College instructors, creating registration forms and processes, tracking expenses and income, working with Marketing for all advertising and marketing efforts, and coordinating with facilities and Helpdesk for all room reservations and technology needs.
Provide distribution data to applicable CCC staff and business and industry customers.
With the guidance of the administrative team, prepare and implement a Workforce Development strategic plan that ties directly into the College’s Strategic Plan and focuses on increasing non-credit and business and industry offerings as defined by community and industry needs assessments.
Identify opportunities for badging and transcripting credentials earned through non-credit and business and industry training.
Work with grants office for possible grant opportunities to enhance non-credit and business and industry training opportunities.
Participate in conversations with CHESS and partner colleges on shared services opportunities as it relates to non-credit and business and industry training.
Promote positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit and provides exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Serves on committees as appropriate and as appointed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Workforce Development, Public Administration, or a related field required.
Two (2) years of experience in workforce development, curriculum development, training coordination, program planning, employer engagement, or related experience required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Understanding and acceptance of the mission of a comprehensive community college and the ability to communicate the College's educational programs and services to a variety of stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, Workforce Development, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
Two to three years of experience in workforce development, continuing education, non-credit programming, career and technical education, or economic development preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in curriculum development, training coordination, program administration, employer partnerships, or workforce initiatives preferred.
Experience developing customized training programs for business and industry preferred.
Experience with grant development, grant administration, and state or federal workforce programs preferred.
Experience working in a community college environment preferred.
