M1SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising Warehouse Department team members and carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Tyson Foods policies and applicable laws. Key responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; scheduling and managing overtime; evaluating performance; administering corrective action when necessary; addressing employee concerns; and resolving operational issues. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through proper receiving practices, including products received from production and outside vendors. The Warehouse Supervisor will also oversee housekeeping and organization within the dock and warehouse areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all product quality, food safety, and workplace safety procedures; promoting a culture of safety; and performing other duties as assigned. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold temperatures and occasionally exposed to vibration. The work environment is typically loud. All safety policies and procedures established by Tyson Foods must be followed at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and at least 3 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of warehousing experience and/or supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required for training and development opportunities.
Special Skills: Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn, develop, and lead others in a fast-paced environment.
