Description
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Leads a team of Convenience Center attendants to ensure all daily tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations to maximize performance and ensure compliance with County policies and procedures.
- Verifies that dispatched containers are properly serviced and replaced by contracted haulers, and reports any service issues to the supervisor.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for Convenience Center patrons, providing courteous and accurate guidance on disposal and recycling procedures.
- Serves as the main contact for collecting information needed for incident reports involving staff or members of the public.
- Maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Convenience Center grounds and attendant building using appropriate cleaning supplies, hand tools, and power equipment.
- Monitors site conditions, equipment functionality, and safety compliance, promptly reporting any concerns or hazards to the Convenience Center Supervisor or Foreman.
- Coordinates with and keeps the Foreman informed of operational needs, equipment requirements, and other relevant updates.
- Performs related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of experience in solid waste operations, recycling, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role is highly desirable.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
