Description
We have an exciting Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportunity available at a prestigious Aircraft Manufacturer located in beautiful Sandpoint.
This role plays a critical part in supporting final aircraft assembly, driving process optimization, strengthening root cause analysis, and ensuring on-time aircraft delivery.

Sandpoint, Idaho Location:
· Scenic lakeside mountain town.
· Four-season outdoor recreation (boating, hiking, skiing, fishing).

Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and improve manufacturing methods including mBOMs, routings, tooling, layouts, and work instructions.
· Support aircraft structures, avionics installation, machining, and final assembly operations.
· Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
· Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure configuration control and incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans.
· Support make/buy decisions and cost analysis.
· Participate in MRB activities and risk mitigation.
· Train production teams on processes and best practices.
· Partner cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
· 7-10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (aerospace, marine, or related preferred).
· Final assembly line experience strongly desired.
· Experience with riveting and complex aircraft assembly processes.
· CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred).
· Experience with PLM (TeamCenter) and ERP systems (Epicor E10 or SAP).
· Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
· Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
