Schedule: Monday-Friday 5p-9p with one day off & Saturday/Sunday 8A-6p
SUMMARY
The Patient Scheduling Coordinator I (PSC) helps the field staff provide exceptional care by scheduling visits according to protocol. All patient and field staff inquiries or concerns are addressed courteously and promptly adding to the overall outstanding patient experience. The PSC I understands and practices all legal and company rules and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff/assign new clients to clinicians according to scheduling protocols
Matches patients with a field staff member by determining best match in clinical skill sets and personality
Responds promptly and courteously to all patients’ inquiries or problems
Collaborate with administrator/supervisor regarding client concerns or complaints
Coordinates day-to-day schedules for field staff
Manage daily workflow in company database
Process daily and weekly reports
Address missed, declines, unverified, and reassigned visits with field staff
Understands and practices agency policies and procedures
Follows Medicare guidelines including: Low Utilization Payment Adjustment (LUPA), Re-assessment, and 13/19 supervisory visits
Participates in On-Call requirements which may be up to 3-5 times per quarter
Attends all mandatory in-office meetings
Understands and practices all HIPAA regulations
Arrives at assigned location on scheduled work day. Works according to designated hours.
Accurate and efficient data entry
Interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
Completion of work with computer, fax, copier and phone
Dexterity and vision to complete documentation on computer
Completes and submits all required documentation within specified company requirements
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience in the Health Care industry and experience in home care is desirable
Ability to learn new database system, run reports and analyze data
Effective and clear oral and written communication skills
Ability to listen and work with a diverse group of people
Ability to identify a problem, look for possible solutions, make a decision, and implement the course of action
Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize
Must be able to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
High-School graduate or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
