Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate welding activities in accordance with SR EN ISO 14731:2019;
- Manage certification and audit processes for applicable standards (ISO 3834-2, EN 1090-1, DNV-WWA, etc.) and ensure the validity of related certifications;
- Coordinate the qualification of welding procedures in accordance with applicable standards;
- Organize the certification and qualification of welders and personnel performing tack welding;
- Monitor the validity of welding certificates and qualifications and liaise with certification bodies to ensure their timely renewal;
- Identify the need for new welding procedure qualifications for upcoming projects;
- Participate in the technical evaluation and approval of welding equipment and accessories;
- Monitor welding and related processes and propose measures for process optimization and innovation;
- Provide technical support on welding-related matters to production departments and onboard vessels;
- Develop and update welding procedures and technological instructions.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. Naval Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline);
- Strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset;
- Good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and adaptability;
- Previous experience in the field of welding is considered an advantage;
- A specialization in welding (Bachelor's or Master's degree) and IWE (International Welding Engineer) and/or IWI (International Welding Inspector) certifications are considered an advantage.
