Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounts Manager to oversee the organization's financial operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliation, audit coordination, and continuous improvement of financial processes to support informed business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and management reports.
- Manage the General Ledger (GL), ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and maintain sub-ledgers to ensure financial accuracy.
- Coordinate month-end and fiscal year-end closing activities while ensuring timely reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll transactions, cash receipts, and credit card reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and company accounting policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documents, and responding to audit queries.
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes for greater operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and improve overall financial performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (T), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 6–8 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in the steel manufacturing or lubricants industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger (GL), month-end closing, internal controls, and audit preparation.
- Experience using ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
