Senior Desk Strat – Commodities (Global Lead)

  • Lead a ~35-person global quantitative team across Oil, Power, Base and Precious Metals
  • Primary location: NYC; Houston as a secondary option
  • Seeking a dynamic leader with strong quantitative credentials who can partner with business leadership beyond traditional modeling

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy: Define and drive an integrated data strategy (fundamental, market/technical, and management data) to generate actionable insights and optimize business resource allocation
  • Technology Delivery: Set priorities and oversee project execution for Technology teams supporting the Commodities business
  • Workflow Transformation: Partner closely with Sales and Trading to redesign and enhance front-office workflows
  • Innovation / GenAI: Identify and deploy GenAI / agentic solutions to modernize legacy processes and reimagine core business workflows

Candidate Profile

  • Proven leader with a strong quantitative background and deep experience in commodities pricing and modeling
  • Ability to operate effectively at the intersection of business, technology, and data strategy
  • Demonstrated track record of driving large-scale change and influencing senior stakeholders across Sales, Trading, and Structuring
