A little about us

Capricorn is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest and most dynamic Member-owned organisations. Since 1974, we’ve provided our Members with financial and business solutions to make running a business easier. Our flagship Trade Account offers instant credit with over 1600 Preferred Suppliers, simplified monthly expenses, and a generous rewards program.

We have a strong foundation in the automotive and machinery aftermarkets. Our vibrant community includes over 34,000 Members across Australia and New Zealand, from national franchises to your local family workshop. Last year, Capricorn facilitated nearly $4bn in sales with our Preferred Suppliers.

At Capricorn, we're about more than just products and services. We work hard to ensure that our Members, Suppliers and People feel like they're part of something bigger - a Community which is connected and supported to make a difference, while having some fun along the way!

  • Ensure delivery of professional reception services for all staff, guests and contractors to our office.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers and coordinate internal stakeholders and external contractors to deliver projects on time and to standard.
  • Monitor and control expenditure across maintenance, projects and operations and ensure cost-effective use of resources and delivery within approved budgets.
  • Ensure facilities services are delivered consistently, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

What you’ll bring

  • Broad facilities management knowledge, with the ability to manage operations, budgets and stakeholders across multiple sites, combined with strong leadership capability to develop a team and deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Experience in facilities management or a similar operational role, including building maintenance and site operations.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs (preventative and reactive) and coordinating facility-related projects.
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers, including contracts and performance.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in facilities operations, including vendor management and maintenance coordination, with demonstrated experience leading or coordinating a team.
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Operations, Facilities Management or a related field (e.g. Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree), or equivalent experience.
