What You’ll Do
As a Medical Support Specialist, you will:
- Coordinate Care: Schedule medical, dental, and therapy appointments; manage calendars; and ensure timely follow-up.
- Provide Transportation: Safely transport clients to and from appointments using company vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Advocate & Document: Attend appointments with clients, take thorough notes, and ensure accurate information is relayed to guardians and team members.
- Support Medication Management: Assist with medication check-ins, distribution, and compliance with Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Collaborate with Nursing Staff: Work closely with our Healthcare Coordinator (RN/LPN) to ensure medical recommendations are implemented and documented properly.
- Maintain Compliance: Follow all KDADS, KMAP, and HCBS requirements, including HIPAA confidentiality standards.
