Description
With direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN), advance practice registered nurse (APRN) or physician completes nursing services and other activities requiring a skill level for which the LPN is properly trained within assigned clinical setting.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
This position provides no direct supervision to Health Department staff.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position is under the direct supervision of the assigned Manager and Division Director.

2. Collaborates in the development and modification of the RN’s or APRN’s comprehensive nursing plan of care for all types of clients.
3. Implements aspects of individual and family plans of care.
4. Participates in the evaluation of client and family responses to interventions.
5. Performs clinical nursing procedures.
6. Completes other programmatic duties as needed related to emergency response, andexposure investigations and monitoring, as well as being a referral/resource person for Personal Health, Infectious Disease and Clinical Services.
Certification of graduation from a licensed practical nursing education program,
-AND-
A current Illinois license as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Department of Professional Regulation,
-AND-
One (1) year of LPN experience preferred.
The ability to sit, flex, stand, reach, and bend. The physical strength to lift, carry, and transport materials/equipment are equivalent tothirty (30) pounds. Visual acuity, auditory ability, and clear written and verbal communication ability. Manual dexterity and the ability for data input into various computer programs. The ability to maintain professional behavior at all times.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must reside within St. Clair County, IL or be willing to relocate to St. Clair County within six (6) months from hire date. A valid Driver’s License. A dependable automobile for use in position if needed. Proof of auto insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum limits of liability as required by the State of Illinois. Employees are required to provide a copy of their current insurance card and the declaration page from the insurance policy. The ability to work necessary hours to meet the position requirements including evenings and/or weekends as assigned. May require provision of services at off-site locations. Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to OSHA guidelines. All employees must adhere to the St. Clair County Personnel Code.•Position contingent upon continued grant funding.
Must be current on CDC Healthcare Personnel Vaccine Recommendations, which include Hepatitis B, MMR, Td/Tdap, Varicella (chickenpox) and Meningococcal if over 65. Influenza and COVID vaccines are recommended and encouraged, but not required at this time and maybe subject to change. Are required to have a TB test upon hire and at separation of employment.
