Job Title

IT Project Technician

Job Summary

Kick-start your tech career with a role that gives you real hands-on experience from day one.

As a Project Staging Technician, you’ll learn how mobile devices, networks and IT equipment are set up, tested and prepared for customers; with training, support and plenty of opportunities to build your confidence in a practical technology environment.

Job Description

Based at Kemps Creek in Western Sydney, this fixed-term opportunity is ideal if you’re studying part-time, early in your career, have some tech experience, or are ready to take your first step into IT.

You’ll stage, configure and commission Android and Apple devices, routers, switches and wireless technology before they’re delivered to customers.

Please note: This role is for a fixed term of 2 years.

You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance to be considered for this role.

What we offer

  • Hands-on experience with mobile devices, IT equipment, tools and enterprise technology.

  • A supportive team where you can learn, ask questions and build confidence in an IT operations setting.

  • The tools, equipment and uniform you need to do the job safely and confidently.

  • Structured 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

  • Industry-recognised training and access to thousands of on-demand learning programs to help grow your technical skills.

  • 30% off Telstra products and services, plus exclusive discounts from over 240 brands and partners.

What you’ll do

  • Stage and configure Android and Apple mobility devices so they’re ready for customer use.

  • Work with experienced team members to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes for customers.

  • Prepare IT equipment such as routers, switches and wireless technology.

  • Learn how service requests and incidents are managed in a real technology environment.

About you

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance as a condition of employment.

  • You might have had some exposure to IT, or simply a genuine passion to learn more and get hands-on in the tech industry.

  • Hands-on work is your thing; you love figuring out how things connect, and are curious about how devices and systems are set up, tested and supported for customers.

  • You’re organised, reliable and pay attention to the small details, helping make sure equipment is prepared correctly and the team can deliver consistent, quality work.

  • You communicate clearly, ask questions when you need to, and work well with others so you can keep learning while supporting the team’s day-to-day work.
