Position Summary
This position will be responsible for ensuring that the PUPCO Fulfillment Center operates efficiently, while minimizing errors, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who is data driven and collaborative in their approach.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a knowledge resource and point of contact across the fulfillment center, helping guide daily workflow and supporting team members in resolving operational issues.
- Train, mentor, and assist in developing team members to achieve business objectives while supporting individual skill growth and cross-training opportunities.
- Support Fulfillment leadership by coordinating daily priorities, communicating workflow updates, and escalating issues that impact operations, safety, or service levels.
- Maintains and promotes safety protocols within distribution center.
- Determine the appropriate destination for products by scanning packages, reading labels and charts, verifying numbers and sorting packages accordingly.
- Load and unload products onto or from delivery vehicles.
- Ability to read purchase orders and packing lists to ensure correct material is received.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, records shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics companies, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Must maintain Receiving, Quality, and Staging bins within NetSuite.
- Responsible for printing Pick Tickets and ensuring orders are being completed in a timely manner according to Customer expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of best shipping and receiving practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
- Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying orders, shipments, and inventory records to help minimize errors.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make day-to-day decisions, escalating to the Fulfillment Unit Manager as needed.
Skills and Computer Knowledge
- Working knowledge of NetSuite (or a comparable ERP/WMS platform) for managing Receiving, Quality, and Staging bins, printing Pick Tickets, and supporting basic inventory transactions (preferred not required).
- Basic computer literacy (required).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for shift communication and the ability to quickly learn new systems as processes evolve.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment.
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Be able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast past environment.
- Routine exposure to heat, cold, moisture/wetness.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled.
